This time it's San Fransisco-based Samiam who are about to recieve another great review, and do they deserve it? Oh yeah...This is it, my friends. One of the greatest albums ever. | Serene-"inward flowering" | I've been into Serene since I heard the split 7" with Separation (also on Genet) where they played heavy new-school with a lot of emo in it, and they haven't deviated from that concept on this new fullength. | Shai Hulud-"hearts once nourished with hope and compassion" | This is the most amazing band I´ve have ever heard. OK, about the music, the best way to describe it is a mix of new-school/ emo hardcore with a singer who has a desperate and brutal voice. I guess Shai Hulud has a very unique sound and they have very good lyrics. The lyrics are about personal issues and they're very well written.
