Jane -"a doorway to elsewhere" ![]() |
When taking a first look on the cover, you'd think that this is an average German e-chord band. One of those bands you can find anywhere in Europe nowadays. When you put this cd in your player, you'll find put that it isn't. Jane mixes the belgian edgemetal sound with their own style including their really fast grindish drums, making this little puppy a standout amongst the others. Brutal and thick as fuck, but it kind of loses some intensity after a while. Looking for a decent death-metal-hardcore act? Look no further, coz Jane is here. | Alveran Records p.o. box 100152 44701 Bochum Germany |

Jets to brazil -"orange rhyming dictionary" ![]() |
This is an all star emo band, and yeah, this rocks. It's got the singer from Handsome on bass, a guy from the Van Pelt on second guitar, the drummer from Texas is the reason on (surprise!) drums and last but not least the singer from Jawbreaker on lead guitar and keyboard, and yeah it is as good as it should be when people like this are involved. Jets to brazil is a one of a kind emo band. Great songwriting, very unorthodox guitarlines and breaks and the lyrics, well, I hope Blake knows what he's singing because I can't make sense of them, they're very much like poetry, with a sort of Promise Ring flavour to it. Oh, the third song deserves to be a radio hit. And they took that one off the demo. I wish I could record a demo with songs like that on it. These guys deserves every attention they can get. | Jade Tree Records 2310 Kennwyn Rd. Wilmington, DE 19810 USA |
