Battery-"whatever it takes The best CD from the band where every member plays in a zillion other bands . Even better lyrics and music than before (even though Go back to the gym and Has-been are their best songs EVER), and I think Brian's voice has improved as well. Maybe a tiny bit softer than previous stuff, but still superb stuff. Also on a great label instead of Lost and Fucked. But hey, everybody knows and loves Battery, right? Revelation Records

Bird of Ill Omen-"self, dare you still breathe?
MCD
Heavy, technical hardcore, sometimes similar to Turmoil, with a few emo riffs and interesting and surprising song structures. Very unpredictable stuff. Great throatripping vocals, even better lyrics and a totally wicked layout (done by Sean at Immigrant Sun). An excellent CD from a cool label although the sound could be better. I wonder why all bands from Florida play such awesome music...Must be the air or something... Eulogy Records

-"out of darkness"
MCD
Singer Kurt runs the X Catalyst X records, the label where amongst others Culture released their original Deforestation 7". Back to the music then. Birthright plays metal-hc, kind of like Earth Crisis, but with a more brutal singer. The lyrics are almost exactly like the ones Earth crisis writes. This MCD also includes a live set of six songs + a Gorilla Biscuits cover. Bet you can't beat that. Good Life Recordings

Bloodlet-"the seraphim falls After 2 years of constant touring in the US and one guitarist shorter, they have become even more odd. They have progressed since their second album - Entheogen, and they have picked up some Neuorosis influences. The songs are very complex, and itīs hard to figure out the next part in the songs. The songs have a mid-tempo and the singer sounds like he is possessed by the devil himself. I guess they have pretty low tuning on the guitars, because itīs heavy as hell. Bloodlet are truly the evilcore number ones. Victory Records

Brotherīs Keeper -"self-fullfilling prophecy"
MCD
This is some weird shit. Musicwise they sound a bit like Snapcase, but the singer sounds like he has inhaled a numerous amount of helium balloons. But the music and the Mickey Mouse vocals blends into a mixture of good and intense new-school hardcore. Trustkill Records

Burst-"two-faced" Metalhardcore! Metal as hell, but mostly in a good way . Thick heavy guitars and drumming, although the singer tends to be a bit on the monotonous side sometimes. They sound a bit like Lash Out musicwise if you listen carefully. I don't really like the mixing though, I think the bassdrum is too low and a bit fucked up, which is a pity since they use a lot of that doublebass metalstuff that so many metalbands love so dearly. Otherwise, this is real good. Melon Records
