Harvest-"transitions" | This record contains four new songs, and the rest are songs from their 7 inches and compilations. Harvest sounds like Bloodlet mixed with Turmoil + a great deal of e-chord riffs, and the singer reminds me of screaming while taking a shit. A decent record for decent kids and adults. | Trustkill Records 23 Farm Edge lane Tinton Falls, NJ 07724 USA |

Hatebreed-"satisfaction is the death of desire" | I hate tuffguy. I think it stinks, but Hatebreed from New Jersey manages to surprise me. Their brutal mix of New York and New School with tons of metal influences actually works for me. Vocals remiscent of Karls on Destroy the Machines, and musically a cross between Madball and some metalband with lots of doublebass stuff in it. Cool, heavy, decent lyrics, and way better than I expected. Worth if you got some extra cash lying around | Victory Records p.o. box 146546 Chicago, IL 60614 USA |

His Hero is Gone -" fifteen counts of arson" |
HHIG is one heavy outfit. Very, very downtuned and dark chords, powerful and intense drumming and dark, growling vocals. Anti-everything lyrics (good ones at that). The first song hits you in the guts like a ten ton hammer and it only gets worse. HHIG is a sort of punk/HC/crust band (imagine Catharsis with less metal and more crustpunk influences). Yeah, if you like Catharsis you'll like this. It's great - and it's on Prank. Cool lables with cool bands and cool names) should be supported. CD version comes with extra songs from one of their 7". | Prank Records p.o. box 410892 San Francisco CA 94141-0892 USA |

His Hero is Gone -"monuments to thieves" |
HHIG once again. Slightly more melodic at times but still so incredibly brutal you won't believe your ears. Better singing (different singer). This is wonderful - balsam for the soul. Even better than fifteen counts of arson... | Prank Records p.o. box 410892 San Francisco CA 94141-0892 USA |

Hot Water Music -"fuel for the hate game" |
This is without a doubt one of the best emo-records ever to be released. Everything about this record is so fuckin great, the songs, the lyrics, the production, just about everything. And the layout, does it get any better than this?! Truly one of the best records of our time. HWM does have a rougher edge than most other emo-bands, quite original I would say. Take some Samiam, (or actually don't) and top that with a semi-screamy voice, and add a really cool bass-line on top of that. Now try to figure out how it sounds. If you didn't get that last part, then go buy this thing of beuty and listen for yourself. | No Idea Records p.o. box 14636 Gainesville FL 32604 USA |
